Most training camps fail for the same reason: too much volume on day two, before the time difference and the heat have been absorbed.
Our curve is simple. Day one: a short, very easy session. Days two and three: building the load. Day four: the key session. Days five and six: maintenance and enjoyment.
We always cap the intensity at what the least experienced group can sustain without injury. A successful trip is one that everyone comes back from in one piece.
The rest of the time belongs to the place: the market, the sea, a siesta. That is training too.
