Atelier Fitness Ltd · Mauritius
Photographer / Videographer
Capture the energy of Atelier Fitness events and produce the photo and video content for the brand.
About Atelier Fitness
Atelier Fitness is building a community around sport, wellbeing and experiences. Imagery is at the heart of the brand: every Run & Brunch, bootcamp, sports trip or masterclass has to tell its story in photos and video, with premium, consistent art direction.
Your role
You are the eye of Atelier Fitness. You cover events on the ground, produce ready-to-publish content and, together with the founders, build a recognisable visual identity between Mauritius and France.
Your responsibilities
1. Event coverage
- Cover Run & Brunch, bootcamps, Hyrox challenges, weekends and sports trips in photo and video.
- Prepare a shot list before every event: key moments, portraits, atmosphere, partners.
- Capture vertical formats for social media and horizontal formats for the website and partners.
- Shoot discreetly and respectfully around participants.
2. Production & post-production
- Select, retouch and deliver photos on tight turnarounds (48 to 72 hours after the event).
- Edit reels, aftermovies and teasers with subtitles and brand graphics.
- Apply and develop the visual guidelines: colour, framing, editing rhythm.
- Organise and archive the brand media library.
3. Brand & partner content
- Produce dedicated shoots: coaches, member portraits, venues, hotels and premium partners.
- Create content for event announcement campaigns and corporate offers.
- Propose creative concepts and recurring series to feed social media.
- Deliver to partners the visuals set out in the collaboration agreements.
4. Organisation & rights
- Manage the equipment, backups and production schedule.
- Make sure image-rights releases are in place and filming rules are respected at partner venues.
- Keep track of delivery deadlines and production budgets.
Who we are looking for
- Proven experience in photo and video, ideally in sport, lifestyle, events or hospitality.
- A portfolio that shows a real sense of light, framing and movement.
- Strong editing and colour-grading skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci or equivalent) and retouching skills (Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Your own kit (camera body, lenses, stabiliser, microphone) is welcome; a drone is a plus.
- Fast delivery and reliability on deadlines.
- Working French and English; Mauritian Creole is an asset.
- At ease on the ground and outdoors, early in the morning as well as in the evening.
- A driving licence is desirable for getting around the island.
Flexibility & the reality of the role
Events take place early in the morning, in the evening or at the weekend. Assignments are scheduled in advance according to the events calendar, with peaks of activity around the major dates and the sports trips.
Culture fit
- Love telling stories rather than simply documenting.
- Hold high standards on quality while keeping to deadlines.
- Know how to work within the flow of an event without disrupting it.
- Bring ideas and try out new formats.
- Work with an entrepreneurial mindset: in the early days, everyone contributes beyond a strict remit.
Tools & skills we value
- Lightroom / Photoshop
- Premiere Pro, Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve
- CapCut
- Canva
- Google Drive / Dropbox
- Meta Business Suite
- Creative AI tools
Indicative goals & KPIs
- Coverage — Cover the priority events on the calendar, in Mauritius and on sports trips.

Recruitment process
- A first conversation: background, availability, equipment and how you work.
- A portfolio review: photos and videos, with a discussion of art direction.
- A paid test assignment: covering an Atelier Fitness event and delivering a photo selection and a reel.
- A final conversation and setting up the collaboration.
Growth
The collaboration can grow into a broader role as head of content, coordinating other creatives and leading the overall art direction of the brand.
